Cross-platform browser transfer
Send files across Android, iPhone, Windows, and Mac
Open ADrop on both devices to transfer files over an encrypted WebRTC data channel. No app, account, or cloud upload is required.
How it works
The signaling service introduces eligible devices and helps their browsers negotiate a direct connection. The receiver reviews the filenames and sizes before accepting. File content then moves between the two browsers rather than through the ADrop application server.
Know the limits before sending
Both pages must stay open. A restrictive firewall, VPN, or isolated guest Wi-Fi can prevent a direct connection because ADrop does not use a TURN traffic relay. Browser storage and mobile suspension can also limit very large transfers.
